Meet Bethany
%20In.jpg)
A classically trained ballerina for much of her formative years and well into adulthood, Bethany had her first taste of the yoga practice in a ballet class. It wasn't until after the birth of her son many moons later, that she found this "shoe-less" practice again and a new love affair began. The connection of breath and movement, and a new understanding of body and self awareness developed. Movement was no longer for perfection, performance or an audiences pleasure - it was solely for her.
The yoga practice made sense in this retired ballerinas new body - post twins followed by a third child. It has held space for divorce, moving homes, loss, tears, celebrations, triumphs, growth ~ the countless ebbs and flows that occurred in her world -- we call this LIFE... and the practice was there for it all.
In 2014, Bethany decided to pursue her 200hr teacher training with the late Charm City Yoga, in Baltimore Maryland. She has continued the pursuit of knowledge and growth through multiple workshops, classes and continued trainings & certifications ever since.*
Bethany welcomes every soul that is curious about understanding their body, movement, mind and heart - No yogi left behind. She teaches an extremely flowy, playful, sensual, dancey, intuitive style practice that cultivates a dialogue between mind, body and breath for each student. Having studied with a variety of teachers and styles over the years, her teaching blends inspiration from Hatha, Vinyasa, Somatics, Yin, Kundalini and Restorative. Expect a warm, lighthearted class with guaranteed irreverence and a laugh. Safe and approachable, while never too serious ~ and there will always be space for YOU.
11+ years and counting teaching yoga, currently in Carroll County, Maryland and the surrounding areas. Bethany has lead countless workshops, events and sold out multiple international yoga retreats on top of working with businesses and sports teams ~ all in the name of growing and flowing through this thing called life and with the help of a practice called yoga.
She currently lives in an old farmhouse the middle of 120 acres with her
kiddos, dog Bea, and 3 spoiled barn cats.
